No installation is needed and all settings are saved in the Profile data, so that O&O RegEditor can easily be used on other computers.
Simplifies working with the registration database!
O&O Software’s freeware O&O RegEditor makes accessing registration databases in Windows systems particularly quick and simple. For example, after a high-precision search is performed, a list of results is displayed, together with the corresponding key paths. Searches are performed without users having to make those irritating confirmations of every interim result. Users can also copy paths direct from websites or manuals into the address line and navigate straight to them. As a history of all paths visited is saved, navigating between different keys is quick and easy. The ability to simply copy and paste complete registry keys and subkeys is especially helpful when testing settings, in order to save old settings for restoration at a later date.
O&O RegEditor is also part of O&O BlueCon
The O&O RegEditor was originally developed both as part of O&O BlueCon and for the development of our products for ourselves. O&O BlueCon is a comprehensive administration tool that is used for system recovery and backup of Windows systems and can start a complete Windows user interface from USB or CD/DVD even if the system to be rescued no longer works.

- Modernized the user interface and rebuilt it using standard Windows components
- Reorganized the frequently used keys menu into clearly arranged submenus
- The status bar now contains a clickable link to the website. The website address is no longer displayed in the window title
- Settings are now stored in a portable configuration file instead of the registry. Existing settings are migrated automatically on the first start
- Updated the End User License Agreement (EULA) to version 6.0

- Fixed crashes when starting the program for a second time and when double-clicking a value
- Fixed an issue where the registry tree could collapse to zero width when resizing the window. The split between the tree and the value list now remains stable and is saved
- Fixed an issue where the value editor could remain empty
- Fixed incorrect handling of multi-line string values (REG_MULTI_SZ) when copying
- Fixed incorrect handling of quotation marks and escaped backslashes in string values when importing REG files
- Fixed the incorrect import of certain value types from REG files
- Fixed an issue where exporting an empty favorites list accidentally exported the entire registry
- Fixed an issue where large binary values could not be edited correctly in the value editor
- Fixed an issue where the selected display language was not restored when the program started
