Major update in O&O Syspectr

We have for instance expanded and optimized the server infrastructure, and the network communication between the client and our data center has been vastly improved. We have also carried out a major update to the client itself, reducing it’s memory use by 60% and achieving a performance factor of 2-4 (depending on the modules loaded). These changes will now be rolled out automatically on all computers over O&O Live Update to all users.

We have also extended functionality: the Hardware Module is now ready for action and will be made available to our users in waves. With Windows Updates, all updates that are already installed will also be displayed next to the missing updates so users can see if a patch or update has already been taken care of. This point came up recently with regard to the widely-reported defective Windows Update (here a report from PC Advisor). Remote Desktop has been positively revamped to include a whole range of optimizations and enhancements. Right now we are working on further new Modules that will be implemented in the coming weeks. These will include a group function for the Hardware Module (inventory), a powerful tool for Administrators and the integration of our top products into O&O Syspectr.

We look forward to your feedback!
